Biography

29 December 1944, Charleston, South Carolina, USA, and raised in Evanston, Illinois. As lead singer of the Drew-vels, a group comprising herself, her sisters Lorraine and Erma, and bass singer Carlton Black, Drew and the band had several local hits, notably ‘Tell Him’ (1963) and ‘It’s My Time’ (1964).
