Miguel Luchino González Bosé, 3 April 1956, Aries, Panama. An actor as well as a singer-songwriter, Bosé is something of a superstar in Spain. His musical career began with two singles on Ariola Records in the mid-70s before he switched to CBS Records for the single ‘Linda’. He recorded several albums for CBS in the late 70s and early 80s, making a major breakthrough in 1984 with Bandido. His output since then has covered numerous albums for new label WEA Records, the majority of which have reached number 1 in Spain, though he is almost as popular throughout South America and parts of Southern Europe. His melodic and inventive Latin pop style has remained consistent over his lengthy career, with occasional forays into more politically motivated material.
