Kem Owens, Nashville, Tennessee, USA. Detroit-based R&B artist Kem battled through numerous setbacks before making his way to the upper reaches of the US charts in 2005. Raised in Detroit, Michigan, the self-taught musician initially struggled to make it in the music business and at times was left almost destitute.
