Biography

14 October 1953, Tokyo, Japan. After studying guitar extensively at Tokyo’s Yamaha Music School Watanabe began his professional career playing in jazz rock bands, sometimes under his own leadership. His bands, which included Kylyn and Mobo, became very popular in Japan and he also took them to the USA.
