Biography
Kai Chresten Winding, 18 May 1922, Arhus, Denmark, d. 7 May 1983, New York City, New York, USA. Winding’s family immigrated to the USA in 1934, and soon thereafter he began teaching himself to play trombone. In the late 30s and early 40s he was with a number of big bands including those of Sonny Dunham and Alvino Rey.
