Biography

l January 1947, Paris, Texas, USA, d. 14 February 1994. Coleman remembers hearing blues on record and radio as a child, and recalls his favourites as Jimmy Reed, Muddy Waters, Lightnin’ Hopkins, Chuck Berry and Freddie King. He taught himself to play guitar around the age of 11; it remains his main instrument, although he is now a multi-instrumentalist.
