Biography
Robert Alexander Scobey Jnr., 9 December 1916, Tucumcari, New Mexico, USA, d. 12 June 1963, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. In the 30s Scobey played trumpet in several dance bands, mostly in California where he grew up. In 1938, he began a long-lasting musical association with Lu Watters, which brought him to the forefront of the jazz revival movement.
