Robert Clarence Nobles, 1 April 1908, Point Hatfield, New Brunswick, Canada, d. 16 June 1980. Bob Nolan was an important member of the Sons Of the Pioneers. Although Canadian, his father joined the US Army in World War I and served in France. He suffered gas poisoning and on discharge, changed his name to Nolan and relocated to Arizona for health reasons.
