Paulette Carlson Biography

11 October 1953, Northfield, Minnesota, USA. Carlson left Highway 101 in 1990 just before they recorded Bing Bang Boom. Having had great success with the band, she had great hopes for her solo career. She appeared as a nightclub singer in the hit movie Twins, but the material on her debut album was not as strong as Highway 101’s. She had her biggest country hit with ‘I’ll Start With You’ in 1991, but has since failed to secure another solo single in the US country Top 50. In 1995 Carlson re-formed Highway 101 to record a new album, although she subsequently left for a second time to work on solo material.
