Juanita Bynum Biography
Chicago, USA. This bible teacher, preacher and self-styled prophetess has also recorded a number of bestselling worship albums. Bynum grew up in a deeply religious household and was a regular at church throughout her childhood. After leaving home she worked as a flight attendant and endured a failed marriage, before choosing to devote her life to God after hearing Bible teacher Joyce Meyer on the radio. She began preaching in the mid-80s and before long was conducting revival meetings throughout America and hosting her own television programme, Morning Glory. Her forthright preaching style proved highly popular and established Bynum as one of the most imposing and sought after of the new generation of ministers to emerge in the 90s. She also authored a series of bestselling books, including No More Sheets (1998), Matters Of The Heart (2002) and The Threshing Floor (2005). Bynum released two worship albums on the Shekinah label, in 1999 and 2000 respectively. Her popularity was made apparent in 2006 when the album A Piece Of My Passion reached the US mainstream charts. In July 2002, Bynum married Bishop Thomas Weeks III.
