A rather young ritual in American life is the Friday evening video pickup. For many of us, the trip to the video store (or supermarket or gas station or library or any of the numerous places videos are available) marks the beginning of the weekend. Sometimes, we dash to beat the rush and get the latest big release. Other times, we scour the shelves until a sleeper catches our eye.
Video Yearbook 1993 covers the results of the Friday evening treks of 1993. It is a detailed account of the videos that spent little time on the rental shelves and toured a variety of households, and the videos that became permanent additions to the libraries.
