Description by OLDIES.com:
Enjoy 9 films starring some of the silver screen's cowboy legends! John Wayne, Hopalong Cassidy, Roy Rogers, and Gene Autry are featured in this 9 film collection. Included in this 2 DVD set:
HELL TOWN:Wayne stars as Dare Rudd, an irresponsible cowpoke constantly being bailed out of trouble by his trail boss Tom Fillmore (Johnny Mack Brown), who also happens to be his cousin. But their family ties are tested when Rudd loses Fillmore's cattle money to crooked gambler Hammond (Monte Blue). Instead of a showdown taking place between the two cousins, they join forces to right the wrong and bring Hammond to justice.
THE MAN FROM UTAH:John Weston goes undercover to reveal the truth behind a scam to steal prize money from rodeo winners by killing them off. It becomes clear that the rodeo's sponsors are responsible for the cheating, but Weston must reveal the identity of the murderous ringleader by catching him in the act.
BORDER PATROL: Hopalong Cassidy and his pals, working as Texas Rangers, set out to find how twenty-five Mexicans have disappeared after being hired by the "Silver Bullets" mine. But when they ride into town, they find that the mine owner is a one-man government.
DOOMED CARAVAN: Jane Travers runs Crescent City Freighting Company and proves her mettle by fighting off a gang of would-be robbers who have been plaguing her freight line. Hopalong Cassidy arrives with his pal Lucky to deliver a gold shipment and winds up joining Jane's caravan to help protect the gold.
HANDS ACROSS THE BORDER: Roy Rogers plays a traveling Good Samaritan who walks into a battle for an Army horse contract between patriotic rancher's daughter Kim Adams and her sneaky competitor Brock Danvers.
BILLY THE KID RETURNS: Roy Rogers plays dual roles in this classic musical Western: the famous outlaw Billy the Kid and an innocent cowboy who bears a striking resemblance to the notorious villain.
EYES OF TEXAS: U.S. Marshal Roy Rogers catches wind of an evil lawyer's twisted scheme to swindle her client out of his estate by claiming to have found his long-lost nephew, convincing him to put the young man in his will.
RIDERS OF THE WHISTLING PINES: While tailing Forest Ranger Charles Carter, Gene Autry is forced to shoot at a threatening mountain lion. Carter, who was falsely suspected of allowing lumberman Henry Mitchell to chop down government protected timber, is found dead, and Autry's shot at the lion is believed to have done the deed!
THE BIG SHOW: Gene Autry plays a dual role in this film: well-known cowboy Tom Ford and his identical stunt double. When Ford fails to show for a personal appearance, his stuntman attempts to impersonate the missing star. Mayhem ensues when gangster Rico arrives to collect $10,000 that Ford owes him, believing the cowboy's stunt double to be Ford!
