Paul Petersen isn't the kind of artist who needs a very comprehensive retrospective collection, as in his brief career he scored one hit and only recorded a couple of albums. Collectables' My Dad does a decent job of gathering the highlights. It leads off with "My Dad," includes his Brian Wilson-produced surf rocker "She Rides with Me," and has eight other frothy tunes like "Girls in the Summertime" and "She Can't Find Her Keys." The only nagging thought is that anyone who has even a remote interest in buying a Paul Petersen collection is the type of person who would want a more in-depth presentation. ~ Tim Sendra
