Elestra Henton, better known as Miss E (Vanessa Bell Calloway, Lakeview Terrace), walked away from a promising career as a stand-up comedienne to save her marriage and raise her daughter. Years later, with her family estranged and her life all but empty, Miss E has another chance. But first, she's got to rely on her slimy former manager and ex-lover Buddy Felton (Roger Guenveur Smith, American Gangster) whose sudden appearance leads to the hilarious unraveling of some family secrets.
