Mark Simmons: Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, Mark Simmons is a graduate of Illinois State University and proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force. Knowing early on that he possessed the gift of humor and enjoyed the feeling he derived from making people laugh, Mark auditioned for the "Miller Lite Comedy Search" on a dare from a friend. He made it to the semi-finals and the experience presented him with his true calling. Mark made his national TV debut in 1998 on BET;s "Comicview." In 2000, he won the Miller Genuine Draft Comedy Search and was the Midwest finalist in the national Salem ORB-e Emerging Artist Contest. He has developed a following around the world through standout performances in Germany, Italy, The Netherlands and the U.S. Virgin Islands. One of the most promising new faces in today's comedy scene, Mark continues to grow as an artist while expanding his talent and experience. As a founding cast member and writer for a sketch comedy troupe "Forgotten City," he enjoyed an extended run at one of comedy's most celebrated venues, Chicago's Second City Theater.
