O'Brien's brand of the country-blues weaves in strands of Cajun and bluegrass with a distinct pop influence. Equally eclectic is her choice of tunes by the likes of Lennon & McCartney, Abbey Lincoln, and Percy Mayfield. But as diverse as the elements may seem, it makes for a satisfying whole. At the center of it all is O'Brien's sweet, clear alto voice. ~ Tim Sheridan
