Raven's Full Flyte (1965-1970) is a first-rate single-disc compilation of the Byrds' prime years. Weighing in at a generous 27 tracks, the disc contains all of the major and most of the minor hit singles, plus many key album tracks and non-hit singles such as "Feel a Whole Lot Better," "Chimes of Freedom," "She Don't Care About Time," "Renaissance Fair," "Everybody's Been Burned," "Goin' Back," "Hickory Wind," "You're Still on My Mind," and "Chestnut Mare." Although there have been single-disc sets that have had better remastering, few rival this in terms of sheer selection. For many fans, Sony/Legacy's expanded Greatest Hits will still be the first price, since it is a little tighter and a lot easier to find, but anyone that purchases this will have an excellent capsule history of the Byrds' prime. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
