A companion piece to Eric Andersen's THE STREET WAS ALWAYS THERE, WAVES presents the former Greenwich Village folkie covering the 1960s tunes of his contemporaries, including Tim Buckley, Fred Neil, Phil Ochs, and Bob Dylan. Andersen's gritty, timeworn voice lends an added charm to this laid-back set, which closes with two of his own songs, "Hymn of Waves" and a live recording of "Thirsty Boots," which features Judy Collins, Arlo Guthrie, and Tom Rush.
