The second volume in Collectables' two-disc set of Jackie Wilson hits encapsulates his latter-day chart entries for Brunswick, an assortment of sweet, buoyant performances like "(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher," "You Got Me Walking," and "I Get the Sweetest Feeling." Although the compilers could've hardly picked better with their ten selections, it's a cruel label indeed that forces an excellent soul singer like Jackie Wilson into a ten-track collection. The two separately released collections, this one (covering 1966-1975) and the first (1957-1965), could've easily fit onto a single disc; in fact, Rhino and Ace have both released compilations titled The Very Best of Jackie Wilson that improves upon either of these. ~ John Bush
