Those parents who find the lyrical content of contemporary artists such as Eminem objectionable will find much to appreciate in the relentlessly upbeat RADIO DISNEY. True to the Disney corporate credo, there's not an objectionable syllable to be found in this entire collection of pop, disco, novelty, and soft urban R&B stylings.
Debeleh Morgan's "Dance with Me" is based around the tune that many will recall as "Hernando's Hideaway," while Hoku will find an echo in many girlish adolescent hearts with "How Do I Feel (The Burrito Song)," a tale of love found and lost against a fast-food backdrop. This collection is pretty age-specific, but it manages to include both "The Hampster Dance Song" and M2M's anti-teen pregnancy anthem "Don't Say You Love Me," pointing up the contradictions and confusion inherent in starting puberty. However those teenagers who find themselves in unwelcome receipt of RADIO DISNEY courtesy of misguided relatives may exact retribution by cranking the aforementioned Hampton The Hampster in heavy rotation and at maximum volume.
