UNDER ONE ROOF: Daniel (Jay Wong) is a young, gay, closeted Chinese-American man living in San Francisco. But when he finds himself falling in love with Robert (James Marks), the new tenant in his mother's apartment building, Daniel learns how important it is and how rewarding it can be to be true to yourself. This breezy romantic comedy garnered attention on the American festival circuit in 2002.
THE TRIP: This movie tells the story of Alan, an aspiring conservative journalist, and Tommy, a free-spirited gay-rights advocate. They meet as teenagers in 1973, embarking on a relationship that continues into the '80s. Along the way, their opposing careers and an ongoing national debate about homosexuality ensures that their love for each another must endure a series of often comical obstacles revolving around both family and current events.
EVERYONE: Winner of the Award for Best Canadian Film at the Montreal Film Festival, EVERYONE is the story of a gay couple whose impending marriage brings out the relationship problems in everybody around them. Ryan and Grant invite their families to the house for a small wedding ceremony, without realizing that they all have an issue with themselves or with someone else. As Ryan and Grant are forced to deal with everyone else's children, infidelity, and mourning problems, they begin to wonder whether marriage is an option worth considering at all. EVERYONE explores the difficulties of marriage by contrasting couples at various stages of matrimony.
