A mobster, Ivan, dies, leaving a 10-year-old son, Justin. The detective on the case, Alex, who happens to be Ivan's brother, investigates several people connected to Ivan in Lyon. He starts with Juliette, a headstrong young woman who had worked for Ivan in his nightclub. As he gets to know her better, Alex falls for Juliette, unaware at first that she is also involved with Marie, a college philosophy teacher.
