Product Description:

In 2001, German historian Lothar Machtan published a book claiming that Adolf Hitler was a homosexual, and that many of the dictator's vile actions could be traced to his sublimated sexuality and self-denial. Understandably, the book caused a controversy among historians, and led documentary filmmakers Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato (PARTY MONSTER, THE EYES OF TAMMY FAYE) to produce a film exploring Machtan's claims. The film examines Machtan's evidence, as well as providing other historians and living witnesses the opportunity to support or refute the idea. It also explores the larger concerns Machtan's work raises, such as "historical outing" and whether the sexuality of any past figure truly matters in evaluating their impact.
