Product Description:

The passionate romance between a talented young journalist and her eccentric lover slowly begins to buckle under the weight of mental illness in this haunting psychological drama from first-time feature filmmaker Peter Matthews. When Anna and Max first meet, the skilled writer--who had been abandoned by her father as a young girl--believes she has found everything she could ever want in a man. As their relationship grows increasingly intense, Anna slowly lets her guard down while allowing Max's love to wash over her body and soul. Eventually, Max begins to withdraw emotionally for reasons that he cannot fathom or explain. When these strange symptoms begin to manifest themselves in Max's art, Anna reluctantly confronts her lover despite a lingering fear that their relationship will dissolve in the process. In the aftermath, Anna's unraveling begins to mirror Max's mental disintegration, leaving her with no other way to deal with her emotional pain other than through her writing. Over the course of the next five months, the details of the uncertain relationship become increasingly vivid in Anna's poignant and melancholy musings.
