Presented here are twenty-five of the greatest hits from CO-ED Records. Features hits such as The Crests' "Sixteen Candles," "Take Me As I Am" by the Duprees and many, many more!
The Co-Ed label was home to many of the artists most closely identified with the 1950s' doo-wop era. Bands like the Crests, the Rivieras, the Duprees, and the Harptones kept up a more or less constant output of perfect pop singles from 1958 until the advent of the Beatles in 1964 effectively put an end to their hit-making careers. This journey back to the wonder years of rock & roll features classic tracks like the Crests' immortal "Sixteen Candles," Johnny Maestro's smoochy "Besame Baby," the Harptones' dreamy "Answer Me My Love," and the Rivieras' lush version of "Moonlight Serenade."
