Ray Conniff › The Singles Collection, Volume 2

What a thrill to hear so many new tracks for
the first time.

I enjoyed vol 1, but this collection is so
different in many ways to the style of Ray
Conniff I had enjoyed when years ago you
purchased his music on L.P.'S only.

As each decade came and went, Ray was in the
forefront with his music genius and adapted
so well to the music moods of the time.

The sound of the 'wordless chorus' was so
recognised, as his, however the 'Conniff Singers'
singing the words has always been my personal
favourite.

Ray came to England in the '70's' and I was
fortunate to attend a concert. Still he captured
his 'own inimitable style' even on a live concert.

WOW! What a great gem! Thanks to Collectables for releasing these wonderful tracks. Included in this CD are many songs that were very difficult to obtain prior to this release. This collection shows just about every single style of music that Ray Conniff recorded over the years, in an even more so than Volume 1. One of the greatest accomplishments of Ray's very long career was that he was always able to sucessfully change his style of music to reflect what was popular at that moment in time and this CD definately reflects that. It also shows how he was able to adapt his style to almost any type of music (Dixie Land Jazz, Rock and Roll, Hawaian Music, Standards or Comtempory). This CD clearly shows how Ray's music was able to reach to such a large and diverse rang of audiences and was surely why he was able to sustain a career that spanned over 50 yrs.. This CD is a blessing and a must have for any Conniff fan. Thanks to Collectables for this and all of the other past and future Conniff releases!
