THE BERMUDA TRIANGLE: Legend has it that the Bermuda Triangle (which is located between points in San Juan in Puerto Rico, Miami, Florida, and Bermuda) is responsible for all kinds of mysterious disappearances. Ships and airplanes have met odd endings in the triangle, many of them vanishing from the map in circumstances that have left scientists scratching their heads. This horror flick is set in the uncomfortable surroundings of the Bermuda Triangle, where a family sets about documenting a hidden underwater city that is located there. As the gruesome events unfold, however, the triangle offers glimpses of its past, and attempts to claim some victims from the present!
CYCLONE: Director Rene Cardona Jr. has many horror films to his name, including THE BERMUDA TRIANGLE (1978) and BLOOD FEAST (1972). In 1978 he added CYCLONE to his directorial resume, producing a gross-out treat which is sure to delight fans of the genre. Initially drawing on the best traditions of disaster films, a cyclone sweeps a cast of unfortunate airplane travellers into the ocean. The survivors then enter into a harrowing quest to make it out of the ocean alive, but the shark-infested waters test them to the limits of human endurance. The action gets bloody as the crash survivors flail in the waters, desperately trying to beat the odds against them.
