This documentary offers a critical review of the Kinks' recorded output during their early years--from their 1964 formation to their 1970s stint with Arista Records--through rare live performance clips and interviews with critics and musicologists. An accompanying booklet offers a song-by-song analysis of every studio album between 1964-1978 alongside archival photographs.
