Description by OLDIES.com:
Orphan Pollyanna Whittier is sent to live with her grim Aunt Polly in her dark, joyless mansion. The child is able to find something positive in any bad situation, and is soon spreading ripples of happiness, through the dreary circle of people who surround her. But when Pollyanna is left crippled in a traffic accident, she is forced to face her greatest challenge.
Eleanor H. Porter's classic children's novel, Pollyanna, is brought to life in this beautifully produced Mary Pickford production. Nicknamed "America's Sweetheart," Mary was one of the most popular and highly paid actresses of the silent era. She would star in 52 features and win the 1929 Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in Coquette, before the advent of sound would force her into retirement.
BONUS: Includes Mary Queen of Tots (1925). In this "Our Gang" silent classic, a lonely little girl's dolls come to life. Stars Mary Kornman, Allen "Farina" Hoskins, Mickey Daniels, Joe Cobb.
