Description by OLDIES.com:

This volume deals with the 3rd part of the year 1943. It covers events on all the German fronts including: Home Front - meeting at the Fuhrer HQ with Hitler, the Reich Ministers, and the Japanese Ambassador General Oshima; Western Front - naval patrols in the Channel; Atlantic Front - submarines on patrol in the Atlantic; Eastern Front - relief for the front lines, the bombardment of Leningrad, dog fights with Russian fighters.

Product Description:

Don't be misled by the title: the A NEWSREEL HISTORY OF THE THIRD REICH series does not construct a factual history of the rise and fall of Hitler's Reich from newsreel footage screened for the Allies, but deliberately presents an assemblage of distorted, fallacious, and propagandistic newsreel clips shot by the Nazis for German audiences during World War II. The preponderance of footage at hand was seized from the S.S. by the Russians and provides a window into how WWII-era Germans perceived the events of the war, and how Hitler's government "spun" those events to them. The 15th volume covers the last four months of 1943, depicting such events as Japanese ambassador General Oshima's meeting with Hitler at the Fuhrer's headquarters, the naval patrols on the Western Front, the bombardment of Leningrad, submarine patrols in the Atlantic, and much more.

Description by Ryko Distribution:

Complied from unique footage plundered by Russian Troops in 1945, these newsreels were made under the influence of Goebbels' Ministry of Propaganda. Volume 15 deals with the third part of the year 1943. It covers events on all the German fronts including: Home Front - meeting at the Fuhrer HQ with Hitler, the Reich Ministers and the Japanese Ambassador General Oshima; Western Front - naval patrols in the Channel; Atlantic Front - submarines on patrol in the Atlantic; Eastern Front - relief for the front lines, the bombardment of Leningrad, dog fights with Russian fighters.
