Set in a civil war-torn Algeria, ENOUGH! follows two unusual Muslim women--the younger is a doctor, the older a nurse with vivid memories of Algeria's fight for independence--who are on the dangerous search for the younger woman's husband, a journalist whose writings may have resulted in his disappearance. Their determination leads them to ignore curfews and challenge the men they meet to help them with their search. Their quest leads them across sweeping Algerian landscapes, and to a deeper understanding of how their lives were shaped by their country's history.
Description by First Run Features Home Video:
Set amidst the civil war of Algeria in the 1990s, ENOUGH! is the story of two women. Emel is a Westerner whose husband, a journalist, is missing - perhaps kidnapped or even killed for articles he's written. Khadija is an older woman who has lived through her country's decades-long struggle. Together they embark on a dangerous search for Emel's missing husband, braving the beautiful but lawless countryside.
