Sarah starts having dreams straight out of NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET and is determined to get to the bottom of things. The fateful hour approaches, the tension mounts, and parents relax, knowing nothing is going to get too bloody or disturbing. What sets this apart from other family-friendly scarefests is its authentic home-cooked perspective. Director Lisa Corrie co-wrote with her uncle, co-produced with her dad, her brothers are the leads, and Walters is a family friend. If it's a little rough around the edges, that's part of the rustic charm; this is a true homespun concoction for the Halloween holidays, a healthy home-made candy apple instead of the usual slick, empty-calorie candy bars for trick-or-treat.
