Product Description:

The doo wop and early soul era was not just about jump and jive, but crooning love songs. A double-CD set with a whopping 40 tracks could not cover this time frame, but this collection does a decent job of presenting well-known groups and lesser vocal balladeers. The more familiar artists include the Spaniels, the Starlites, the Dells, and Lewis Lymon, and the Five Satins can be heard performing their all-time forevermore ballad "Our Anniversary." A trip down memory lane is in store for those of you who were teenagers in the '50s. ~ Michael G. Nastos
