Nearly three full years after its 2004 debut, the Federation returned with IT'S WHATEVA, another round of hard-hitting San Francisco Bay Area hip-hop. Once again produced by mastermind Rick Rock, the trio of Doonie Baby, Goldie (not to be confused with the U.K. drum-and-bass artist), and Stressmatic prove that the West Coast "hyphy" style isn't going anywhere, and that the group can hold its own with its Dirty South crunk counterparts, particularly on the humorous "College Girl" and the R&B-tinged "My Rims."
