Tracks 1-6 were recorded in New Orleans in 1965, and feature Jim Robinson on trombone, Capt. John Handly on alto sax, Sammy Rimington on clarinet, Kid Thomas on trumpet, Dick Griffith on banjo, Dick McCarthy on bass, Sammy Penn on drums, and Bill Sinclair on piano. Tracks 7-10 were recorded in New Orleans, August 27, 1964, and feature Robinson on trombone, Kid Thomas on trumpet, Ernest Cagnolatti on trumpet, Albert Burbank on clarinet, George Guesnon on banjo, "Slow Drag" Pavageau on bass, and "Cie" Frazier on drum. Track 11 was recorded in New Orleans, December 1974, and features Robinson on trombone, Tony Fougerat on trumpet, Orange Kellin on clarinet, Father Al Lewis on banjo, James Prevost on bass, and Louis Barbarin on piano. Reissued from the original Center Master tapes. Originally part of Biograph's "Rare Center" series.
