The Luther Henderson Orchestra recorded six albums for the Columbia label. As a composer, arranger, conductor and performer, Luther Henderson has contributed to various albums recorded by the Duke Ellington Orchestra, the Andre Kostelanetz Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic, Mandy Patinkin, Polly Bergen, Anita Ellis and others. As an arranger, Henderson has arranged over 100 tunes for the Canadian Brass and numerous pieces for his famous son-in-law, Sir Simon Rattle (conductor of the Berlin Philharmonic).
