R&B vocalist Chuck Willis not only made a name for himself as a noted singer but also as a composer with songs recorded by Elvis Presley and others. He was billed as the "King Of The Stroll" due to the dance craze inspired by his hit rendition of "C.C.Rider", and was also known as the "Sheik Of The Blues" for the turban he wore while performing. This two album collection includes the hits "C.C. Rider," and "Betty And Dupree."

This reissue from Collectables combines two classic Chuck Willis albums: one for Okeh and the other from Atlantic. These are I Remember Chuck Wills and King of the Stroll, released in 1963 and 1958, respectively. The disc features 25 tracks, including a number of jump blues, early R&B, and tender, yearning ballads.
