Customers who purchased this item also bought these: Description by OLDIES.com:Dick Clark's wife suggested Philadelphia native Ernest Evans change his name to Chubby Checker, a name similar to that of popular singer Fats Domino. These re-recordings, originally released in 1975 on the Dominion/K-Tel label, were for many years the only available recordings of Chubby Checker. Included are the Top 10 Billboard hits "Limbo Rock," "Let's Twist Again" and "Pony Time."

Chubby Checker K-Tel

These may be remakes but great care was put into these recordings and they sound so good, (better because they are available as stereo whereas the Cameo orginals are only available in mono)that many companies (like Rhino) used these versions on Greatest Hits of the '60s style albums. These recordings just sound better on a good stereo system and the price is right.
