Collectables' A Night With Jerome Kern/A Night With Sigmund Romberg compiles two of Percy Faith's tributes to Broadway's finest composers onto one CD. A Night With Jerome Kern features lush interpretations of Kern standards such as "Ol' Man River," "Look for the Silver Lining," and "(When Your Heart's on Fire) Smoke Gets in Your Eyes," while A Night With Sigmund Romberg includes lavishly arranged renditions of "Lover, Come Back to Me," "Stout Hearted Men," and "Deep in My Heart, Dear." Though these albums may not feature some of Faith's best-known work, this two-fer still displays the ornate arrangements and romantic mood that defined his career. ~ Heather Phares

The music of Jerome Kern is some of the loveliest music ever written - it will endure long after most of what today is considered "music" has been long forgotten.
Similarly, the fine work of Sigmund Romberg will also live on.
Earl Wrightson was truly one of America's premier stars of television and stage. His truly outstanding baritione has enthralled me for four decades.
