Pilot Jim Clark and stewardess Shirley Brooks quit their jobs and launch The Honeymoon Air Service, transporting couples to Las Vegas for their nuptials. Business is booming until foreign agents manage to sneak a stolen top-secret military weapon aboard. At gunpoint they force Jim to fly to Mexico. But mechanical problems cut off the plane's engines, the aircraft crashes and both hostages and hijackers find themselves fighting for survival.
Flying Blind's star, Richard Arlen, was a real-life pilot serving as a flight instructor in World War II. Arlen is best known for his role in the 1927 Academy Award winner, Wings, but also appeared in Hollywood classics including The Four Feathers (1929) and Island Of Lost Souls (1933). He was honored for his five decade career with a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.
Espionage and high flying action abound in this World War II adventure starring Arlen. The battle scenes' aerial photography pulls you right into the fray, enlivening what could otherwise be standard fare.
