Born and raised in Louisiana, Doug Kershaw taught himself to play the fiddle at age 5; eventually mastering 28 instruments. Kershaw's mix of traditional cajun and country styles earned him worldwide notoriety. Ragin' Cajun was originally released by Warner Bros. in 1976, and broke into the Top 50 Billboard Country charts.
