Description by OLDIES.com:

The railroads of Switzerland cross some of the most spectacular and stunningly beautiful mountain landscapes in the world. >From Basel to Lugano, and Geneva to St. Moritz, Swiss Rail Journeys takes you over the railroads of Switzerland as you roll by glorious mountain scenery and breathtaking alpine lakes.

Chapter 1: The Brunig Railway. Our Swiss rail journey begins with the Bruning Railway in the charming town of Luzern, situated on one of Switzerland?s most beautiful lakes. Come along as we wind our way through the pastoral valleys and foothills of the Alps before scaling the heights of the Brunig Pass and descend once again to the city of Interlaken. Along the way, we climb mountains by electric rail coach and experience lake steamers in Luzern, combining modern technology and history with glorious Swiss mountain scenery.

Chapter 2: The Bern-Simplon Railway. This railway crosses Switzerland?s mighty alpine backbone via the Lotschberg Tunnel. The Bern-Simplon Railway is approaching 100 years of successful operation. Watch historic steam and electric locomotives take to the rails in a kaleidoscope of parades and special runs. Swiss Rail Journeys is a visual delight through one of the world?s great alpine wonderlands.

Movie Lover: DIANE H HANEY from JOHNSON CITY, TN US -- September, 7, 2008

I was disappointed in this video because it was narrated in a monotone, the photography was very poor as was the quality of the dvd. I did not even watch all of it since I got bored with it. Would not recommend this dvd. Thanks
