Dave Brubeck's moving cantata, "Truth Is Fallen," was commissioned by the Midland Symphony Orchestra and was dedicated to the slain students at Kent State University and Mississippi State. This rare recording of this work features the Cincinnati Symphony under the direction of Erich Kunzel with Brubeck on piano. "Two Generations of Brubeck" is dedicated to Duke Ellington and Darius Milhaud, two creative giants who opened the doors for Brubeck.

In 2000, reissue giant Collectables took pianist Dave Brubeck's swinging 1973 Truth Is Fallen release on Atlantic and 1974's Brother the Great Spirit Made Us All and put them together on one disc. ~ Rob Theakston
