This rare recording of this work features the Cincinnati Symphony under the direction of Erich Kunzel with Brubeck on piano. TRUTH IS FALLEN is a commissioned orchestral piece composed by Dave Brubeck to commemorate the students slain by the National Guard at Kent State University on May 4, 1970.
Personnel includes: Dave Brubeck (piano, oscillator); Erich Kunzel (conductor); Jim Cathcart (vocals, trumpet, organ); Chris Brubeck (vocals, trombone, keyboards); Peter Ruth (vocals, flute, harmonica); Steve Dudash (vocals, violin, guitar); Dave Mason (vocals, viola, guitar); Chris Brown (vocals, acoustic & electric basses); Charlene Peterson (vocals); Lowell Thompson (bongos); Peter Bonisteel (percussion); Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.
Producer: Israel Horowitz.
