Plot Synopsis:

Although reggae originated in Jamaica, it has always had a large British following, and this video traces the beginnings of England's reggae movement. Chock full of interviews and live performances, "Reggae in Babylon" includes footage of Jimmy Lindsay ("It's Not Our Wish That We Should Fight", "Easy"); Matumbi ("Rock"); 15, 16, 17 ("Black Skin Boy"); Alton Ellis ("Diverse Doctrine"); and Steel Pulse ("KuKluxKlan", Prodigal Son").
