A wounded gangster staggers into a small-town drugstore and dies. Frankie, the soda jerk, and his pal Jefferson are reluctant witnesses. Unfortunately, the mob believes that the slain man revealed the location of a fortune in stolen loot to Frankie and Jeff before dying. With the gangsters hot on their heels, the duo race to identify the killer before they become his next victims.

Frankie Darro and Mantan Moreland were comedic sidekicks in eight Monogram features. The supporting cast includes Our Gang veteran Mary Kornman and Texas Ranger stalwart Dave O'Brien.
