The legend of Robin Hood is given a grand retelling in this popular and long running series made for television (1955-58). Filmed in Great Britain with the handsome and dashing British actor Richard Greene as Robin, the "outlaws" of Sherwood Forest watch over the people of England and protect them from the cruelty and greed of the ruling aristocrats.

Ladies Of Sherwood: Robin sneaks into Nottingham dressed as a woman when he attempts to save a condemned man from the gallows.

Richard The Lionheart: Maid Marion is surprised to find Robin pledging his allegiance to a mysterious knight.

The Jongleur: A traitorous minstrel lures Robin into the Sheriff's trap.

The Vandals: Murderous raiders are looting and burning homes to the ground. The Sheriff suspects that Robin and his men are the culprits.
