National Football League star running back, Reb Russell, makes his film debut in this rare 1934 western, The Man From Hell. This production also features an early supporting role for western star George "Gabby" Hayes.

Clint Mason is paroled after serving three years in prison for a stagecoach robbery he did not commit. He returns home determined to prove his innocence, but finds the town in the grip of crime boss Anse McCloud. McCloud has coerced Clint's sweetheart, Nancy Campbell, into agreeing to marry Anse in one month. The ex-con must expose McCloud's criminal activities, if he is to have any chance of rescuing Nancy and clearing his name.

When Reb gets out of prison he sets out to clear his name of a false stagecoach robbery charge. Meanwhile, his gal falls for a bad guy. Russeell was a former football star.
