Description by OLDIES.com:
Bob Moore was one of the top session bass players in the late '50s. He led the band on many of Roy Orbison's sessions and was much in demand as a sideman for Elvis, Brenda Lee, Pat Boone and others. With his own orchestra, Moore had a top ten hit in 1961 with "Mexico" (a #1 Adult contemporary hit as well), which is featured in this great collection.

Liner Note Author: Mark Marymont.
Collectables' Mexico collects 18 highlights from Bob Moore's prime time at Monument, boasting not only the hit title track but his unique instrumental versions of songs like "Mexicali Rose," "Vaya con Dios," "Hot Spot," "Cologne," "La Paloma," "Blue Tango," "My Three Sons," and "South of the Border." It's not perfect, but it's nearly definitive, containing all the songs that most fans could want from Moore and his orchestra. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
