Los Angeles Times - 12/05/2008
"[T]he film plays out in a series of witty, sharply drawn scenes....A GOOD DAY certainly shows Dortch as a talent to watch."
At once retro and completely of the moment, A GOOD DAY TO BE BLACK AND SEXY celebrates black love and lust with a collection of shorts. "Reciprocity," "Reprise," "Her Man, "American Boyfriend," and the two-part film "Tonite" are driven by desire and music, painting pictures of romance that manage to be both unique and universal. This film from director Dennis Dortch played at the Sundance Film Festival in 2008.
