Description by OLDIES.com:

Fiendish pharmaceutical quacks peddle dangerous radium-based cure-alls to an unsuspecting public. Only Dr. Lawrence Baxter stands up for the health of the common man. Dr. Baxter hosts a regular radio show, where he not only offers sound medical advice to his listeners, but also fights tirelessly against the purveyors of phony radioactive medicines. His prime target is wealthy and powerful Donald Kennedy, whose army of violent thugs and relentless attorneys prove more than a match for Baxter's one-man crusade. If you can't beat them, reasons a defeated Baxter, join them! He teams up with Kennedy to produce the ultimate scam - a radium-based cure for the common cold. But it's all part of Baxter's plot to bring the radioactive house of Kennedy down for good.

Larceny On The Air was directed by Irving Pichel, a Harvard graduate who worked a dual Hollywood career path starting in the 1930s. He was a gifted character actor, appearing in a wide variety of films - Madame Butterfly (1932), Oliver Twist (1933), Cleopatra (1934), Dracula's Daughter (1936), Jezebel (1938) and Dick Tracy's G-Men (1939) are just a few. He was also the director of three dozen films, including The Most Dangerous Game (1932), She (1935), The Pied Piper (1942), The Miracle of the Bells (1948) and the award-winning sci-fi classic, Destination Moon (1950). The star of Larceny On The Air, Robert Livingston, enjoyed wide fame in westerns, most notably as Zorro in The Bold Caballero (1936) and as Stoney Brook in over two dozen Three Mesquiteers movies.
